In the world of Glock pistols, there are no shortages of upgrades or enhancements offered on the secondary market. Some provide esthetic improvements while others improve the shooter’s experiences. After testing the FAB Defense KPOS Scout, I can say that this upgrade does the latter. The KPOS Scout provides the shooter function, form and simplicity.
Right out of the box I immediately could see and feel the quality that was put into the KPOS Scout. The overall design incorporates an aluminum upper component (including the top rail) combined with a polymer lower. The foregrip also functions as a trigger guard. Unlike some of the other carbine conversion kits out there, the KPOS Scout utilizes an AR-15 like charging handle which helps the design feel incredibly familiar on the range. Only complaint I have is that FAB Defense did not design a spare magazine caddy.

The KPOS Scout provides the shooter a solid carbine platform which elevates the entire shooting experience. Please note that an ATF tax stamp is required on your pistol BEFORE installing it into the KPOS Scout. In testing this device on my ATF Form 1 approved Glock 17, I found that my accuracy improved and that overall recoil was reduced. For my setup here I kept it simple and utilized a Vortex Sparc 2 red dot sight. I could not have been more pleased with the performance and functionality of this upgrade at the range.
Shooting at about 25-30 yards from target, I had no issues removing the center of the target. The Vortex Sparc 2 complimented the overall design as it helped to maintain the low profile of the KPOS Scout. Though I did not test this with iron sights mounted, the rail is long enough to accommodate not only a primary red dot optic system, but back-up sights as well. Felt recoil is completely reduced and KPOS Scout is extremely comfortable from the shooter’s perspective. Even though 9mm itself is a mild round when it comes to recoil, the KPOS Scout does improve muzzle rise, felt recoil and allows the shooter to keep rounds on target.
I have put over 500 rounds through my ATF Form 1 approved Glock 17 using the KPOS Scout. Not only was I able to have tighter groupings, but this thing is simply fun to shoot. If you are in the market for a device to enhance or upgrade your Glock pistol, consider the KPOS Scout by FAB Defense. This device allows you to continue to upgrade your device when it comes to optics, lights, slings and iron sights.

FAB Defense did a great job redesigning the KPOS Scout from the previous KPOS model. With a price point of around $300, this is one of the better Glock upgrades for the money and you can get it from ZFI at https://goo.gl/3q2saF . Registered users get an additional 10% off.
